"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
Luke 2:10-11 (KJV)
Saints, can I get a witness? Before the lights went up and before the first gift was wrapped, heaven sent an announcement, and the headline was a Savior! God did not leave us in our sin; He sent His only begotten Son, wrapped in flesh and laid in a manger, to bring us out. That is why we celebrate. The tinsel will fade and the tree will come down, yet the Word still stands: unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given. Hallelujah! Jesus is the reason for the season, and every card you send this year can say so. Keep Christ in Christmas, and tell somebody: the Savior is born!
The Night Heaven Came Down
The Reason: The Savior is Born brings that holy night to life as a Black nativity scene under a deep blue sky full of stars. At the center, the Christ child lies in a manger of golden straw, wrapped in white and glowing with a soft light that falls across everyone around Him. Mary kneels beside Him in a sky-blue mantle over a rose-colored gown, her hands pressed together in prayer and a golden halo behind her head. Joseph stands over them both in a deep red turban and a violet robe trimmed in gold, holding a shepherd's staff and gazing down at the child with quiet wonder. Above them, a Black angel with outstretched wings bows her head in worship, and a gentle lamb rests in the straw at the right, a quiet reminder that this baby is the Lamb of God. Across the sky, "The Savior is Born" is stamped in shimmering gold foil script.
Why It Matters
Isaiah saw this night coming hundreds of years before it happened: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6). The shepherds heard the good news first, and they did not keep it to themselves. They went with haste, found the child just as the angel said, and then made it known abroad (Luke 2:16-17). A Christmas card is one of the simplest ways to do the same. When it carries the gospel on the front and a blessing inside, you are sharing the good news with every name on your list.
Inside the Card
Each card opens to this printed blessing, with plenty of room left for your own words:
May the miracle of Christ's birth fill your heart with peace, your home with love, and your life with purpose. Merry Christmas!
Send The Reason: The Savior is Born to your church family, your pastor and first lady, the mothers board, your Sunday school class, and every friend and relative who needs to be reminded who Christmas is really about. Each card mails in a white envelope lined with gold foil and closes with a gold seal, so your good news arrives looking like a gift.
