A calendar hangs where you actually live: the kitchen wall, the office cubicle, the back of the bedroom door. For twelve months, it is the thing you look at every single day. These are calendars worthy of that attention, filled with unique art by Black artists whose work you will not find in a big box store. Each calendar marks the dates that matter to our community alongside the major holidays. Wall calendars, weekly planners, and two-year pocket planners, all in one place. Read More
Art by Artists You Should Know
Every calendar features art from famous and emerging Black artists, including Nicholle Kobi's elegant, fashion-forward women, Frank Morrison's long-limbed figures full of movement, Cidne Wallace's Girlfriends, and Kiwi McDowell's bold color and humor. You'll also find calendars featuring the art of Sylvia "GBaby" Cohen, Keith Conner, Larry "Poncho" Brown, Carl M. Crawford, C'Babi Bayoc, Pamela Hills, Dora Alis, Greg Perkins, Dorothy Allen, and the late Annie Lee, whose calendar sells out nearly every year. Twelve months means twelve pieces of art, which makes a fifteen-dollar calendar one of the least expensive ways to live with artwork you love.
Calendars That Celebrate Black Women
Much of this collection honors Black women. Titles like Phenomenal Women, Sister Friends, Sister Vibes, A Woman Who Walks With God, Blessed Sista Energy, and Favor and Glory were made for women who want calendars that reflect them and draw on their daily experiences. These calendars make natural gifts for mothers, sisters, girlfriends, sorority sisters, church members, and coworkers.
Three Formats, Three Different Jobs
-
Wall calendars: the classic. Large format art you hang and live with, one image per month, with room to write in the date squares.
-
Weekly planners: for people who love to plan and do challenges and activities. Week-by-week layouts with space for appointments and notes, plus inspirational art and messaging throughout. They also include challenges and activities that you can do.
-
Two-year pocket planners: slim enough for a purse, wallet, or glove box, covering two full years at a glance. The easiest stocking stuffer and add-on gift we carry.
Dates That Matter to Us
Our calendars note the days important to members of our community, including Black History Month, Juneteenth, Kwanzaa, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Watch Night, alongside the standard federal holidays. Several titles go further and build the whole year around Black history, including our Obama commemorative editions and Black History wall calendars.
Buy Early, Because These Sell Out
Calendar print runs are set months ahead and are not reprinted once they are gone. Popular titles routinely sell out by December, and the Annie Lee calendar in particular disappears fast every single year. If you see one you want, do not wait for it to come back, because it usually will not.
