- Edition and Details: Open edition handcrafted holiday ornament featuring the interlocking SU logo, which carries the trademark symbol, on a bronze-ringed medallion.

- Gift Ready: A stocking stuffer for Southern alumni, students, new graduates, and Bayou Classic families; the plastic storage box keeps it safe between seasons.
Does your Christmas tree have Jaguar Pride? The Southern University Jaguars Spinning Bulb Christmas Ornament dresses the tree in Columbia blue and gold, with the SU logo set on a medallion that turns freely inside the bulb. One light touch and the logo spins, and the whole room knows which side of the Bayou Classic this household sits on.
Columbia Blue and Gold, Trimmed in Bronze
The bulb follows a classic finial shape, rising from a pointed tip to a bronze-toned cap in alternating Columbia blue and gold swirl stripes. A raised blue band circles its middle, embossed with a geometric lattice and edged in bronze on both sides. At the center sits a white medallion inside a bronze ring, carrying the interlocking SU logo in blue and gold. It is mounted on small pins at the top and bottom so it rotates within its window. A gold cord hangs from the cap, and the ornament comes in a plastic storage box so it can be packed away after the season and brought back out every December.
From the Bluff to Your Tree
Southern University was chartered in New Orleans in 1880, the result of a push by Black Louisiana leaders including former governor P.B.S. Pinchback, and opened its doors on March 7, 1881, with 12 students. In 1914 the university moved to Scott's Bluff overlooking the Mississippi River in Scotlandville, just north of Baton Rouge, where it reopened that March under President J.S. Clark. Today it anchors the Southern University System, the only HBCU system in the nation. Southernites know the sound of fall: the Human Jukebox, marching for Southern since 1947, in the stands at A.W. Mumford Stadium, and the Bayou Classic against Grambling State at the Superdome the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
A Christmas Gift for Jaguar Nation
Hang it on the family tree, a dorm or office tabletop tree, or a holiday wreath. It makes a stocking stuffer for a Southern graduate living far from Baton Rouge, a student home for winter break, a new graduate starting out after commencement, or the relatives who come home from the Bayou Classic still talking about the Battle of the Bands. For a full Columbia blue and gold holiday display, pair it with our Southern University Jaguars HBCU College Santa Claus Figurine or the Southern University Jaguars Proud Santa Claus Figurine.

Santa Claus Workshop
This collegiate spinning bulb series shapes each ornament like a classic finial bulb, painted in one school's colors from cap to tip. The school logo rides on a metal-ringed center medallion that spins freely on small pins. Every ornament comes in a plastic storage box, ready to be tucked away after the holidays and hung again the next season. Most in stock items ship in 0 to 5 business depending upon the shipping method selected during checkout.
