Description

Happiness is a transformative state of being that radiates from within and reshapes how we experience every moment of our lives. When we cultivate genuine happiness, we don't just feel better; we live better. Our perspectives shift, our relationships deepen, and we find ourselves moving through the world with a lightness that's both liberating and contagious. Happiness changes everything: it strengthens our resilience, opens our hearts to possibility, and reminds us that joy isn't something we find, it's something we choose, again and again.

This is the essence that master artist Charles Bibbs captures in "Happy," a breathtaking celebration of pure, unbridled joy. Through his distinctive folk art style, Bibbs presents a woman in mid-dance, her body expressing what words cannot. That moment when happiness overtakes you so completely that you must move, must celebrate, must share your joy with the world around you. She reaches toward a hummingbird, symbol of lightness and wonder, her face tilted upward in absolute delight.

The vibrant magenta dress adorned with golden flowers becomes a visual metaphor for how happiness blooms within us and colors our entire existence. Bibbs' signature warm earth tones and textured lines create depth that draws you into this moment of celebration, inviting you to remember your own experiences of transformative joy. It's art that reminds you how to feel alive.

Created in 2014, this limited-edition giclée print is available in just 200 signed and numbered editions, with an exclusive remarque edition of only 20 prints for serious collectors. Printed on museum-quality, acid-free watercolor-textured paper with archival inks, each 34x20-inch piece maintains its brilliance for generations. Every print includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

Charles Bibbs, one of the most celebrated African American artists of our time, has built his reputation on creating works that speak to the soul of Black culture and the universal human experience. "Happy" represents the pinnacle of his artistic vision—a daily reminder to choose joy, embrace your light, and let your happiness transform not just your life, but the lives of everyone around you.
