"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9
Before the world gets a chance to tell you who you are, hear what God has already said. You were seen, formed and called long before your first breath. Your Creator has the final word on who you are, and His word over you is good. Read it every morning until you believe it, and then keep reading it until you live it.
What God Says About You
- Unique (Psalm 139:13): God knit you together in your mother's womb, by hand and on purpose.
- Special (Ephesians 2:10): You are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works He prepared in advance for you.
- Strong (Psalm 18): In this song of deliverance, David calls the Lord his strength, his rock and his fortress, the God who arms him with strength.
- Important (1 Peter 2:9): You belong to a chosen people and a royal priesthood, God's special possession.
- Protected (Psalm 121:3): The One who watches over you will not let your foot slip, and He never slumbers.
- Chosen (John 15:16): Jesus said, "You did not choose me, but I chose you," and appointed you to bear fruit that lasts.
- Precious (1 Corinthians 6:20): You were bought at a price. That is how much you are worth to Him.
The design brings those promises to life. Beneath "God says you are" in gold foil script, the seven words stack in bold brown letters, each with its Bible reference printed below. Beside them, a Black woman tips her face toward the sky with her eyes closed and a wide, radiant smile, long dark waves tumbling down her back, gold hoops at her ears and a golden V-neck top. The design appears on both sides of the white mug, finished with a warm brown handle and interior, and the tall 17 oz shape holds a full morning coffee, tea or latte for your quiet time.
A Daily Reminder to Speak Life
Give it to the daughter heading off to college, the friend who is too hard on herself, the sister in a season of rebuilding or the woman who pours into everyone else. It is a meaningful gift for birthdays, Mother's Day, baptisms, women's ministry and Christmas. Pair it with our Wonderfully Made latte mug, which carries the full text of Psalm 139:14.
