Class and Dignity: The Obamas Commemorative Ceramic Latte Mug

For eight years, the country watched Barack and Michelle Obama carry themselves with poise in one of the most closely watched households in the world. As the first African American President and First Lady of the United States, they hosted heads of state, raised two daughters in the public eye and opened the White House to people from every walk of life. Through it all, the steady constant was the partnership between them.

This commemorative latte mug frames one of their most elegant evenings together. The President stands in a classic black tuxedo, smiling at the First Lady, who glows in a strapless champagne gown shimmering with beaded embellishment, a matching wrap draped over her arm and bangles stacked at her wrist. The image recalls the Obama administration's first state dinner in November 2009, when the First Lady wore a custom gown by Indian-born designer Naeem Khan.

An ornate gold foil frame surrounds the photograph, with "The Obamas" set below in gold foil lettering. On the back, the same name sits inside a matching gold foil plaque. The glossy black finish runs inside and out, from rim to handle, and the tall 17 oz shape holds a generous coffee, tea or latte.
