If you cannot see it, you cannot build it. Dr. King stood before a quarter of a million people and painted a picture of a future most of them had never seen. That is what leaders do. They say it out loud, they start the work, and they follow it all the way through. What is your dream? Speak it, start it, and finish it.
About This Poster
This Vision motivational poster captures Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. waving to the crowd at the 1963 March on Washington, paired with a message on leadership and follow-through. The open edition poster is printed on paper and ready for framing or display as is.
The message printed on the poster reads:
Genuine leaders have the ability to articulate, initiate, and follow-through on their vision.
The History Behind the Image
On August 28, 1963, about 250,000 people gathered at the Lincoln Memorial for the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Dr. King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech that afternoon, and photographers captured him waving to the vast crowd from the podium. The march helped build momentum for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Some older product descriptions call this event the "Freedom March"; its official name is the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
About the Founder
Founder William Armstead built Motivational Product Depot, originally D'azi Productions, around the belief that history can motivate. Each poster in his collection connects a single word, such as courage, vision, or strength, to a moment or a person from Black history, so the lesson lands every time someone walks past it.
