The award-winning artist and illustrator Frank Morrison has come a long way from his roots as a Graffiti artist in the tri-state area. After visiting the Louvre Museum in Paris as a member of a breakdancing crew he committed himself to art.
Since then he has taken the art world by storm. Releasing popular artwork inspired by hip hop culture, African American cultural experiences and his urban upbringing,
Frank frequently works with acrylic and watercolor during his creative process. His style has been labeled a combination of urban mannerism, graffiti and abstract contemporary. He notes Ernie Barnes and Annie Lee as influences during his development process as an artist.
Morrison has also become an in-demand illustrator. He has over 20 children's books that he has provided artwork for. Including the award-winning Jazzy Miz Mozetta, Our Children Can Soar and Little Melba and her Big Trombone.
He has pulled images from these award-winning Children's books for the 2021 installment of his always popular Shades of Color Kids Calendar.
This calendar measures 12x12 inches (closed) and 12x24 inches (open). Our calendars are printed on high-quality paper and have full-color pages throughout. Frank Morrison
Born in Massachusetts then brought by his family to live in New Jersey at an early age, Frank Morrison was reared and spent his formative years there, an affable, precocious and inquisitive youngster whose curiosity about everything around him seemed limitless. Then, as an energetic pre-teen, he was interested and enthused by the youthful fads, interests and activities which marked his world: the neighborhood D.J's with their followers and fans at neighborhood parties, the colorful 'tags' of local characters which were splashed across fences, parks and buildings, and the loose-jointed "B" boys and break-dancers who enlivened week-end party scenes.Most in stock items ship in 0 to 5 business depending upon the shipping method selected during checkout.
