A handmade bag crafted out of raffia and leather in Madagascar. Our Ahitra design comes in a variety of colors including natural, black, orange, light green, red and forest green. The bag is adorned with a multicolored blocks pattern.

This handbag is a standing and expandable handbag that features reinforced leather corners, leather handles for easy carrying, a drawstring closure to secure bag contents, one interior pocket inside of the bag in addition to the main storage area for coins or smaller items.

Each style is available in three different sizes. Choose the bag that is the perfect size for you.

Large Bag

These bags are ecofriendly and primarily made out of Raffia palm fibre and colored used vegetable-based dyes. Madagascar is home to the raffia palm where these bags are made by local artisans in a sustainable manner. Every purchase helps empower the skilled African artisans that we partner with.
