Design Details
The black cotton body has a football jersey cut, with a yoke seam across the chest, dropped shoulders and roomy short sleeves. FLORIDA A&M arches across the front in orange collegiate letters outlined in green, above a large 87 in raised green chenille edged in orange. On the back, EIGHTEEN sits in orange letters over a large printed 87 in green outlined in orange. A ribbed V-neck collar striped in orange and green finishes the jersey look.

About Florida A&M University
The 87 on this tee points to October 3, 1887, when the State Normal College for Colored Students opened in Tallahassee with 15 students and two instructors. That school grew into Florida A&M University, Florida's only public HBCU. Its graduates include Olympic gold medalist and Pro Football Hall of Famer Bob Hayes, tennis champion Althea Gibson, Congresswoman Carrie P. Meek and Dr. LaSalle D. Leffall Jr., the first African American president of the American Cancer Society.
