An open edition giclee depicting an African American man with his hands up.

On his right arm you find the year 1619 and on his left arm is the word present. The "1619" signifies the year that the first enslaved Africans reached the United States of America in Jamestown, Virignia.

The word "present" alludes to the oppression, racism, police brutality and other forms of social injustice that those of African descent are still dealing with.

At the bottom of the art print are images of tragic events (lynchings, police brutality, etc.) that the young man's forefathers have had to endure.

This work of art is available in a size of 11x17 inches on paper or 24x36 inches on canvas.

I haI see my artwork as a physical embodiment of my creativity and vision, which gives them a more lifelike quality. I love experimenting with all types of media, including acrylic paints, pastels, watercolors, and airbrushes. By using these different tools, I can turn my ideas into realistic and vivid images. The artists of the Baroque period are my main inspiration because they managed to capture both emotion and action in their art. By combining my imagination with what I see around me, I am able to create beautiful works of art.
