Waitherero: Raffia Hat

A beautiful adjustable and shapeable lightweight dark brown with hints of wine hat featuring a 7-inch brim that we weave by hand in Madagascar. This is a crown out design so that you can pull your hair through the center of the hat if desired and it features raffia fringes at the top. It is perfect for women with locks, braids or other types of up-dos.

Its shapeable brim allows the owner to wear the hat in many different styles. It is also adjustable with a drawstring in its interior so that it will fit different size heads. This hat is an eco-friendly product crafted from natural Raffia and other renewable and sustainable raw materials utilizing a variety of energy saving techniques. It contains a drawstring in its interior. All of the colorings on this hat was done using a long-lasting vegetable-based dye. It's dual layer of fine woven Raffia allows the hat to offer UPF 50+/SPF 30+ sun protection which makes it a great hat for when you will be outdoors for an extended period of time. Our big brim Madagascar raffia hats are packable and are rolled easily for traveling. Spot clean the hat with cold water when needed, do not use any soap or detergent.

This hat fits any head size of 59cm or smaller due to the drawstring in its interior that allows it to tighten up on smaller heads. We give all of our hats African names and this one is entitled "Waitherero" which means "The Better One".
