Lester Kern

Lester Kern was a nationally renowned artist and comic illustrator, born in Milwaukee on Feb. 26, 1955. His love for art began in childhood and was further developed through the years, earning him an art scholarship from the Milwaukee Art Museum at a young age. Kern's editorial cartoons were featured in The Milwaukee Courier Newspaper and he designed the logo for the Milwaukee Community Journal. His artwork, including the well-known religious-themed painting "Footprints" can be found in homes across the nation.
