About the Artist

Before she ever picked up a pen to draw, Kiwi McDowell was a doll maker. Raised in upstate New York and now based in Atlanta, she had more doll orders than she could sew, and by 2002 she was ready to put the needle down for good. That same year she found out she could draw, and her doll characters moved onto paper with their full figures, bold outfits and heart-shaped smiles intact. Today those women appear on Kiwi's planners, calendars, magnets, totes and handbags, all made to remind women how fabulous they are.
