Justin Copeland is a Baltimore based artist who specializes in unique and stunning portraits of African American women and Black Culture. His work expresses Black beauty and promotes self-love and inner growth.
In his work, he strives to capture the essence, strength, and beauty of the people of African descent. Through his excessive use of bold color and strong themes, he wants to place the viewer in a specific mind space. A state of consciousness where the viewer realizes that Black people possess a soulful beauty beyond measure even though mainstream society often attempts to suppress their beauty.
