Aaron and Alan Hics

Alan and Aaron Hicks are identical twin brothers from Chicago, Illinois. Not only do they share the same facial features, but the same unique talent as well. Since the age of eight, the twins shared an intense desire to express their creativity through drawing. Over time, what began as a journey of self-expression through art became a bona fide passion to capture "life" with whatever media God placed in their hands. The only question would be, "which hand?" because Alan paints with his left hand, while Aaron paints with his right. As the twins matured, the same passion that drove them to create artistically also inspired them to hone their skills within an academic environment. Thus, Alan and Aaron began to further their education and their talent at the University of Illinois in Chicago. In 1985, their perseverance and dedication paid off; the twins received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biocommunications/Medical Illustrations from the University of Illinois. Today, they continue to stretch themselves as artists and consistently strive for Godly perfection in their work. Their spiritual and family oriented motifs have been exhibited throughout the country and in numerous publications, such as Ebony, Jet, and Upscale Magazine. Whether or not Alan and Aaron paint an image together or single handedly produce another stroke of beauty, the results are always the same: they reveal an uncanny ability to achieve outstanding color and detail in every airbrushed image.

"A VERY LOVELY Refrigerator Magnet"

What can I say.....??? Mr. Ayubo, you did it again!!!! Another African American product that is just so "VERY LOVELY". I already placed one of the two magnets on my refrigerator. I plan to give the other one away. Also I want to make some comments about this company "The Black Arts Depo". I first encountered the website in July of last year (2017). And I have had NOTHING BUT POSITIVE things to say about the company, Mr. Kani Ayubo, plus the father Roy. I haven't had any of the horror stories to tell as I have read other people's negative reviews. My opinion is that this father / son team IS THE BEST. I promised to Mr. Roy that I would write reviews on the many purchases made in this short time frame. I am a person who values keeping my word. I am also sharing my secret about The Black Arts Depo because people are starting to ask me where I get such unique and beautiful gift items. I did get "heads up" last year from orders bought on Amazon.com. But this is the BEST SITE for obtaining a HUGH SELECTION of African American products & gifts. Oh yeah, I must mention how neatly packed everything was in my last order with nothing fragile haven been broken. In addition, my two separate orders were promptly fulfilled & the first one came within 4 business days. (I am still waiting for the 2nd package but have received an email that it is on the way). Finally, I want to say THANKS A MILLION for the $10 award coupon sent to me by Mr. Ayubu. I will DEFINITELY be making more purchases from The Black Arts Depo, and STRONGLY RECOMMENDING them to family & friends.
