Andrew Nichols is an African American painter born in Brooklyn, New York, who now creates from Jamaica, Queens. Recognized for his talent as a child and formally awarded for his art by age nine, he later fell in love with oil on canvas while studying at Kingsboro Community College. His work has been exhibited at the Jacob Javits Center and Pratt Institute, and his original oils have been collected by professional athletes. Across every canvas, Nichols celebrates positive, dignified images of Black life.
