The Psalms call God's people to praise Him in the dance, and when the ark of the covenant came home to Jerusalem, David danced before the Lord in front of the whole city (2 Samuel 6:14). In many Black churches today, praise dance ministries carry that tradition forward, turning hymns and gospel songs into movement during Sunday service, Christmas programs, and Easter celebrations.
