Theresa Cates is a self-taught artist who has been creating charming artwork since she was five years old. Her calendar for 2023, Total Praise, captures the essence of praise with fluid motions and harmonious brush strokes. Theresa began drawing as a way to escape the abuse she experienced in her household, and she continues to create art that brings joy to others.
Out of pain, her gift was birthed. By God's grace and through the power of forgiveness she continues to use her gift to bless those around her--whether it is via commissioned city murals or sharing her story.

I never received any official training in painting, so I created my own style. When I work, I sit on the floor with my canvas nearby and continuously move around it to get different perspectives as I paint. It's important to me that each piece conveys what's inside of me; when I'm finished, there should be a relationship established between myself and the painting. My goal isn't simply to produce beautiful paintings; rather,I want my pieces to convey particular atmospheres depending on where they are hung. Faithfulness, happiness, coloration, and emotionality are at the core of all my paintings because these elements – not physical beauty– comprise real life.Most in stock items ship in 0 to 5 business depending upon the shipping method selected during checkout.
