ABOUT DAVID GARIBALDI AND GARIBALDI ARTS

At a time when most people his age are uncertain what to do with their lives, David Garibaldi has a firm grasp on what to do with his. The creativity, passion, and the maturity of his style are not often seen in artists twice his age, and many are stunned by his youth.

Born in Los Angeles December 1982, Garibaldi showed an interest in art and music from nearly the start, and doodling on practically anything in sight. He also began playing the trumpet in the fourth grade and continued throughout high school, where he attempted to juggle art with his music. Garibaldi gained a new perspective and a motivation that prepared him for challenges to come.

Throughout his senior year in high school, David studied animation with a teacher who prepared a professional work environment for his students. The artist would sometimes spend sixteen-hour days working to finish projects. For his hard work, Garibaldi was featured on local and prime time news programs, and in many publications. A highlight of his high school career was the screening of one of his animated short films at Sacramento's IMAX Theater.

Garibaldi eventually started dabbing in paints, and was asked by a friend to paint live on stage during a hip-hop show. The paintings took on a musical flavor, and David felt he was onto something. He began painting regularly at nightclubs, surrounding himself with music and defining his new style. His resume continues to grow with a performance art show he calls “Rhythm and Hue“.

“Rhythm and Hue” is a unique and high energy show by David Garibaldi. With a brush in each hand, he creates 6 foot tall portraits in less than 6 minutes, of icons, celebrities, sports personalities, and special honorees to carefully selected music. The artist does it all while entertaining, and stunning audiences, from hundreds in a nightclub to millions on TV, and everything in between.

“…I’m an artist and an entertainer first, but I feel like I’m providing an experience for people. Something unique, different, and an event they will never forget…” says Garibaldi. The world agrees in amazement, seeing him and his “Rhythm and Hue” show featured on MTV, NBC, UPN, WB, in addition to worldwide publication. Garibaldi has performed for celebrities, pro athletes, CEO’s and many others who agree that Garibaldi‘s talent is like no other. “.…His ability to entertain, his energy, and the actual finished product (portrait) is incredible. I’ve never seen anything like Rhythm and Hue before” says Linda Mamula, a Garibaldi fan.

Garibaldi currently resides in Sacramento California, but his work is showing up all over the globe in galleries, clothing, advertisement, promotional campaigns, posters and video games. His work is featured in E.A. Sports video game NFL Street (2004), which has sold millions around the world.

What Garibaldi can do with “Rhythm and Hue”, and his fine art, will continue to take this artist to unimaginable heights.
