WAK

WAK is an artist on a mission, but his is no solo trip: He wants to take you on the journey, too. His destination is a place where more African-Americans will appreciate, own and even create fine art that honors their rich heritage and hope filled destiny. So far, tens of thousands of people have willingly followed Williams to that vista – including talk-show host Oprah Winfrey, and actor comedian Bernie Mac. From celebrity homes to small businesses, corporate offices and women’s spas, Williams’ original and lithograph artwork hangs from coast to coast. In fact, his collection of 50 lithograph prints – created under the “WAK Artistry” signature – is the most widely circulated urban fine arts series in the nation. Diverse in their themes, the art is painted by Williams in mixed mediums, and then produced as lithographs in various limited – and broad – edition quantities.

Doing time/ Gettin yo glory on

Love this beautiful work hear the words "Gettin yo glory on" whenever I eye at it. It is written that a women’s “hair” is her glory, this meaning a women’s “cover” is her “seal.” So then it is clear that a women’s “Cover” meaning her “own true man” is her own real seal/shine, un-huh yep, her finisher, and assurance. He makes her to shine, he’s her canopy, overlays her …rightly protects her as-to empower her forward. it is then said that the man’s glory is his wife. This means each one sets the other with a seal of right protection, and makes one another an umbrella/roofing that brings them together as they endorse, encourage, and establish each other. They move upwards in a sort of spiral motion. They circle upwards with him certifying her, she license’s him, he maintains her, and she’s affirming him. around-n-around they should go, always releasing upwards boost-to-boost. This balance is how two whole people are spiritually one. Now take that and consider this work of art! WOW! what a woman will do for her hair! lol When women go to get their “fluff” fix they’ll tolerate all kinds of payouts, pushouts, and pullouts. Lol …her undertakings are taken very seriously. The women will take on great heat, cold rinses, and all kinds of thingamajigs to work that hair into a right hold. It doesn’t matter afterwards the time, or pain of pushing, twisting, yanking, and mashing that went on before. She got that BABY now! Rofl … She’s got “her crown” the way she likes it now, and it doesn’t matter what the world threw at her along the way to her soul mate, she’s ready to throne-UP with her king. this artist rocks me. (smiling) xoxo2his soul
